Kaja Norum (born 1989) is a Norwegian born, figurative painter.

She began an apprenticeship with renowned classical painter Odd Nerdrum in 2009, and studied with him in both Norway and Paris until 2012.

Kaja aims to create images with a timeless, archetypal quality. 

Inspired by the human emotional states of life, she uses historical techniques from the renaissance and baroque periods.

The human form is the subject matter, and her work consists of portraits and compositions in oil, graphite and charcoal.
